Review (date Jan 24 2004
):
This tool is intended for technical writers in the first place, but it can be useful for other users working with MS SQL Server database schemas (the authors promise to release the version for Oracle soon). The program generates a simple report in the form of a Word document containing descriptions for tables, keys, indexes, check constraints. The program produces a fairly good impression yet it still has some disadvantages: to change the current database, you have to reconfigure the ODBC data source; no filters are available and tables are added to reports only manually. There are some doubts concerning the performance of the program, though it may be of no importance to most users. The program seems a bit overpriced taking into account the present set of features, but the developers promise a free update to new versions within a year from the purchase.
