DataManager is a program intended for operating database. For high-grade work preliminary installation of BDE (Borland Database Engine) is required, but there is an opportunity to download a version with BDE included. Direct access to xBase, MySQL, InterBase, MS-SQL, Centura SQLBase and Oracle, and quick access to OBDC-/BDE data sources are provided. The program has a good, convenient interface which, however, is quite ordinary. Some parts of the interface are implemented better, others worse, so it doesn't produce any particular impression. DataManager grants a large set of functions: viewing of the database schema, its editing, creating SQL queries and their processing. There's a SQL builder. An opportunity of data editing, report generation, data export to various formats and many other things are available.
Unfortunately, the program works a little unsteadily: the sql builder doesn't appear sometimes, other functions might not work occasionally, and though it doesn't occur often or on a regular basis, it spoils the impression of the program just the same. Besides, the site of the program is written in German. However, registration in English is possible, and the program itself and its help are completely in English.
