Review (date Sep 5 2003
):
The program is a powerful and flexible tool for transferring data and structures from one format into another. The basic product is a command line utility transferring data in a packet mode. Besides, the distributive package includes Wizard that allows the user to specify a data transfer task in a visual step-by-step manner. SQLWays is an obvious competitor of MS DTS, but it not so closely integrated with the operating system. As to drawbacks, it is worth mentioning that data cannot be transferred to ODBC and OLE DB data sources. The product supports transferring only into some basic DBMS. The product comes in three versions: Standard, Pro and Enterprise, which are different mainly in the number of objects that can be transferred.
