Review (date Aug 28 2003
):
The program is intended for viewing and comparing database schemata. The reviewed version works with Interbase only (a separate version for MS SQL Server is also available). The viewing and comparing operations are performed quite well, it has a number of useful additional features, such as: filtering the objects to be compared; generating SQL statements to create or delete database objects, etc. Quite convenient is the mechanism for comparing texts in database objects realized in the form of two windows with coupled navigation (the authors call it Side-by-side comparison form). On the whole, the product is quite a success, though we think it lacks some useful features like building reports on the database comparison results, not just generating a synchronizing script.
