Review (date Jul 23 2003
):
A highly tailored utility allowing you to create scripts for database tables, scripts for transferring data from those tables and scripts for creating indexes as well as scripts for transferring data based on the results of a SQL request. DBScripter works with any ODBS compatible DBMS and has special settings for MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase. The program interface is simple and convenient. Data transfer is performed correctly, except for several details. On the whole, the program could be considered good, if there were no some fundamental mistakes and drawbacks. When creating scripts by which the structure is going to be reconstructed, the program leaves out some fundamental things, for example, identity is not specified despite using the special setting for MS SQL. Besides, the program does not process primary keys, foreign keys and a lot more. As we understand it, the program is raw and crude and this version will hardly be a good purchase.
